SERVICE INFORMATION
Our Computerized Wood-mizer sawmill can mill logs up to 20.6 feet long & from
8” to 36” in diameter. The band is 1/16th inch thickness, producing
up to 30% more lumber than a circular saw blade mill.
By using our services, you save the costs of hauling logs to a mill and
the lumber back to your property or jobsite. You receive all your lumber
and can adjust your cut lists as you monitor our production. We can do some
hand moving of logs at the mill site when a forklift or loader is not available.
Save costs by trimming large logs over 32” before our mill arrives
or we will trim logs to fit our mill at our hourly rate and by cutting all
limbs flush with the bark or we will have to use our chainsaw to cut limbs
flush at our hourly rate, no 45 degree cuts will be accepted. YOUR crew handles
all logs & stacks all lumber & cap cuts. The sawdust will be piled
next to the mill or placed in cans when provided. Clean up is done after
each log is milled for safety. We will leave all cap cuts whole or help you
cut them into stickers for stacking to dry your lumber or cut for firewood.
We charge $0.35 a bf for 2 inch thickness or greater or $0.45 a bf when less
than 2 inches or under per cut with a volume of over 10,000 bf. and the log
size at a minimum of 12” - 36”.
***Jobsite conditions are considered before a board foot price is given.
Any log less than 8ft long, over 30” in diameter or under 10” in
diameter takes longer to mill & cannot be considered in the bf price
structure. We will do very small or very large log projects by hourly rate
only!
To save time & your cost, please have all log preparation completed
before we arrive at your site.
We can cut at a production of 350 bf to 500 bf per hour when you provide
two or more people & equipment to handle all the wood and the jobsite
is flat with enough room to accommodate our mill & truck.
Your logs need to be in one central location or we will move the mill at
our hourly rate. The logs are to be a minimum of 9 ft. to a maximum of 20’ 6” & all
limbs cut flat to bark, no 45 degree cuts. The pile of logs needs to be centered
with the trunk (butt ends) to one side note: the sawmill’s forklift
faces the driver’s side of the truck. NOTE: Log Owner is responsible
for all blade damage caused by any foreign objects (dirt, paint, nails, metallic
objects, bolts, wire, rocks, bullets, moss, etc.) in or on logs.
To reduce the blade damage, it is recommended that you use a metal detector
on urban or farm trees.
There is a fee $10.00 sharpening fee per blade and a $25.00 fee for each
damaged blade. Removal of these objects saves you the cost of damaged blades.
NOTE: Rates are subject to change. |
